Women’s Jersey Sizing & Fit

To size our women’s kit, we use a unique ‘benchmark’ system.
Using the guide below, measure the key measurements of your favourite jersey by laying it flat on the floor. Once you have these key measurements, select the size in the chart that’s the closest match to what you already have.
For sizes that are in-between, we generally advise to go to the next size if the measurement is more than 1.5cm or .5″ greater than what we list.
If you do not see a size to match, contact us and we can look at making a match for you.

Order Cycle Explained

Each and every item of ELEVEN vélo kit is unique, made to order for each customer. Because of this, we have a set production cycle which is explained below.

Our weekly order cycle closes every Wednesday, and from this point ELEVEN vélo orders follow a set 5 Step production cycle of cutting and sewing (the production cycle does not include transit times to you):

Step 1: Pipeline: Wednesday at 11pm Eastern Australian Time each week the order cycle closes and the next week’s begins. Orders for the closed cycle are sorted and prepared for the cutting cycle, starting on Friday.

Step 2: Cutting: 5-7 working days > When your order is being cut, you receive your first email update. *

Step 3: Sewing: 7-10 working days > Once your order is in the sewing shop, you receive the second email update. **

Step 4: Completion and QC: Completed orders are collected, QC’d for any issues and packed. We may also photograph your order if we think it’s cool.

Step 5: Shipping: We generally ship orders every Friday or Monday and you will also receive an email from Australia Post with any relevant tracking and delivery information.***

Notes:

* Depending on workload or the types and sizes of kit we are cutting, we may fast track some orders if they fit into a cutting run or we can batch cut.

** Usually sewing is completed within the 7 working day window. On very heavy order cycles or weeks with public holidays, we can creep closer to 10.

*** Pre-made items ship in the closest shipping run at the latest.

When your order comes to us…

ELEVEN vélo kit is more than something pulled out of a box, packaged and sent to you; each has a part of you in it, a part that is uniquely yours, which is why our bespoke system is one totally unique to us.

order cycle

1: When we process your order we print it out and make up your order sheet. This details your order for cutting and sewing.

2: Your order sheet is then placed in a ‘job bag’ along with any needed components; to keep waste to a minimum, we ship orders in the same job bag they start life in.

3: We then batch your order with all others from the order cycle for cutting.

4: With your order cut, everything needed goes into the job bag and heads off to sewing.

What can hold things up?

Making bespoke products is a highly involved process, far more so than making 20, 50 or even 300 of one thing. Each order is completely unique, with the correct patterns and fabrics pulled and cut for each separate item; even in the sewing room, the machinists must rethread each machines for each different item!

Occasionally we run into things that may hold up the process, such as running out of a particular fabric or other material mid cycle, delays on the sewing room floor or a larger than usual batch of orders. While we try our very best to keep our cycle disruptions to a minimum, for your sake and ours, unfortunately sometimes it can not be avoided.

What else should I know?

The above information explains our process fairly well. Things though can and do change from time to time…

You should not plan on receiving your order by a particular date i.e. just before an event.

While we try our very best to keep on time, and manage to do so on most occasions, hold ups in the process as outlined above or lags in the postal system can disrupt things. Because of this, we can not guarantee that you will receive your order by a particular date.

Fabric Tech

The Superfine Merino fabric we use is 100% Australian grown, spun and woven. It is not sent offshore to be processed but is made in Victoria, Australia. This means that our Merino retains a low carbon footprint by reducing the transportation required from the farm to our supplier, to us; all of which add to the already high sustainable credentials of wool fibre.

Our Merino is also certified ‘non-Mulesing’, meaning it is sourced from ‘best farming practices’ growers that ensure the highest standards of animal welfare.

The 170gsm (5 oz) Superfine Merino is light and tough, yet soft against the skin with a non itch feel. As the 170gsm regulates temperature so well, we use it as a base layer in winter and an only layer in summer, and have tested it from 0 degrees C all the way through to 38 deg C and can vouch for its outstanding abilities.

Other key features of Merino are:

  • Fully breathable.
  • Natural thermally regulating – keeps you warm in winter AND cool in summer.
  • Naturally anti bacterial and odour free.
  • Flame resistance.
  • Sustainable, renewable and biodegradable.
  • Ethically grown, locally.
  • Guaranteed 17 Micron, Superfine.
  • Not blended with other, lesser quality wool.
  • Machine washable.
  • Excellent colour fastness.

Care

For best results and product longevity, we suggest the following care instructions:

  • Cold to warm wash. Cold wash for best results.
  • Hang or warm machine dry. Hang dry is preferable.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Warm iron.
