Are you tall and thin, or maybe shorter and wider… maybe you have thighs of thunder? Whatever the case may be, this is where our Bespoke Fit Service comes in to save the day.
To order a Bespoke Fit Service, first add the item you want fitted to the cart, e.g. add a Super Domestique Jersey. Once you know the dimensions you need, simply go the the Fit Service page, select the desired fit and add it to your order – you can add the fit for two garments if needed by using the A and B menus. In the ‘Order Notes’ section (at checkout) make a note as to the dimensions you want.
So you’ve been riding, a lot, and the ELEVEN vélo kit you bought is now flapping in the wind? Well, we want to make sure the kit that got you to where you are now, will keep you going a whole lot further.
If you’ve dropped a full size or three (in a minimum of three months) and find that the ELEVEN vélo kit you bought no longer fits like it once did, we will offer to replace it for you for 50% of the current listed price. All you need to do is contact us and send the kit to be downsized back to ELEVEN vélo. In return you’ll get brand new kit that fits like it should and you can pick up where you left off, riding lots!
The Superfine Merino fabric we use is 100% Australian grown, spun and woven. It is not sent offshore to be processed but is made in Victoria, Australia. This means that our Merino retains a low carbon footprint by reducing the transportation required from the farm to our supplier, to us; all of which add to the already high sustainable credentials of wool fibre.
Our Merino is also certified ‘non-Mulesing’, meaning it is sourced from ‘best farming practices’ growers that ensure the highest standards of animal welfare.
The 170gsm (5 oz) Superfine Merino is light and tough, yet soft against the skin with a non itch feel. As the 170gsm regulates temperature so well, we use it as a base layer in winter and an only layer in summer, and have tested it from 0 degrees C all the way through to 38 deg C and can vouch for its outstanding abilities.
Other key features of Merino are:
- Fully breathable.
- Natural thermally regulating – keeps you warm in winter AND cool in summer.
- Naturally anti bacterial and odour free.
- Flame resistance.
- Sustainable, renewable and biodegradable.
- Ethically grown, locally.
- Guaranteed 17 Micron, Superfine.
- Not blended with other, lesser quality wool.
- Machine washable.
- Excellent colour fastness.
For best results and product longevity, we suggest the following care instructions:
- Cold to warm wash. Cold wash for best results.
- Hang or warm machine dry. Hang dry is preferable.
- Do not bleach.
- Warm iron.
Bought some ELEVEN vélo kit that you love but crashed hard and wrote it off beyond any level or wearability? We have you covered.
Our crash replacement program removes the insult from injury and offers you a 30% discount to replace what your crash took away. To qualify for the program, send us pics of your destroyed kit and we’ll assess if we can repair it or it needs to be replaced.
Build and Order
For all ELEVEN vélo tops, the core measurement is physical chest size. If you don’t know what that is, you can:
1: Look at formal/business shirt, as these still use ‘True’ sizing.
2: Measure. Using a tape measure, measure around your chest at nipple hight. The tape should not be pulled taught, nor have any slack in it.
Once you have this, depending on your body size, select the size that corresponds. If you are in the middle, e.g 38.5″, go down to 38. If you are 39, go up to a 40, unless you want a firm fit and do not put on weight! Keep in mind Merino does not have the stretch of many synthetics, so a firm fitting Merino top will feel… firm.
If you know you have a smaller/larger chest etc. for your given height (ie. most shirts you buy will be too short/long in the arms and/or body), we can bespoke cut (for an additional charge), making sure the lengths are just right for you.
‘Finished’ refers to the final dimensions of the garment and you can use these to measure against a similar garment you may have to see how they compare. Keep in mind that when using this method, there will be some discrepancies due to unavoidable variations in sewing etc., as well as any shrinkage in the garment you are using to measure from.
To measure a top, lay it flat and use the below chart as a guide on how to obtain comparative measurements. Try and make sure there are no wrinkles when measuring and ensure not to stretch the garment, which can make it longer than it really is. (Note: Measurements may vary +/-5mm | 1/4″):
A = FINISHED CHEST: Measured from arm pit to arm pit.
B = LENGTH: Measured at the side from arm pit to base of hem.
C = HEM: The finished hem of the top laid flat. Measured across the base.
D = SLEEVE LENGTH: Measured from collar edge to the cuff.
F = DROP: The amount the centre back hem is lower than the front.
